Wildcat Tavern - Hoot Night

Hoot Night at The Wildcat Inn and Tavern is the longest running open mic night in The Mount Washington Valley. Starting in the early 1980’s at the New England Inn, it then moved to the Wildcat Inn & Tavern about 1995 where it has remained as a Valley staple on Tuesday nights. Jonathan Sarty, a local celebrity, has been hosting Hoot Night for 17 years, taking over from another local favorite, a transport from Bermuda - Rod MacKenzie. Musicians from all over New Hampshire have come to The Wildcat for a unique chance to jam and share their talents with a truly extraordinary group of musicians.

” Always count on us being there and musicians will always get their chance to play. Although it can be a challenge to get in and get a seat with limited space and no reservations (first come first serve) so we always recommend showing up early, and being prepared to wait a little while for a seat.”
